Just about ready to collapse… I’ve been studying for over 12 hours now. I’ve probably walked a total of 100 steps today lol. My study guide for this freakin’ pathopharm final is SEVENTY THREE PAGES LONG. The damn thing is so long that my printer said “running low on black ink” a little over halfway through printing it hahah. I just need to kill myself studying tomorrow, take the final on Thursday, and then SWEET SWEET FREEDOMMMMM!!! All the movies, TV shows, books, basketball I put off until I had more time will finally come. I’ll finally get to see my friends! I’ll be able to have this thing people call FUN again! I think I’m going to cry when I get out of that final on Thursday, it’s going to be so glorious lol.

I did it! I successfully finished my first semester of nursing school at USF! It’s so hard to believe that we just started about 4 months ago and now we’re finally at the end. I think I did… relatively okay on that pathopharm final. Hopefully enough to keep an A-, but fuck it! IT’S SUMMER!!!!
I feel kind of exhausted right now honestly, but I don’t want to sleep because it’s finally summer break! After months and months of nonstop studying and learning it feels a little odd to literally not have to worry about ANYTHING right now. I just watched Edward Scissorhands and knocked that off my rewatch list (only about… 40 more movies to go, that’s not counting my first time watch list lol). I started reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time again after getting halfway through it this semester. I’ll probably finish that in a few hours and then move on to A Clash of Kings which I’m still halfway through. There’s so many movies and TV shows I need to watch/catch up on too! I really need to unwind… I think I deserve it after this hellish semester haha.

Finals week is fucking killing me lol. I think I did… okay on that pharm final? I hope I did well enough to maintain my A- haha. I’m pretty sure I did but I’m not 100% sure. I’ve been seriously choking during finals week >_< Only one more final to go though! 3 more days of torture and then 3 months of ABSOLUTE PURE BLISSFUL FREEDOMMMM!!!!!
Got off to an inauspicious start to finals week. I don’t think I held on to my A- for assessment sadly. Unfortunately, something happened with my laptop’s connection while I was taking the final so instead of getting my results instantly, I had to take the test using old fashioned pen and paper, meaning I won’t get my results until next week =/. Studying my ass off for pharm on Monday and then going at it again for pathopharm on Thursday. I reallyyyyyy want to keep my grades up! I just need to torture myself for another 5 days and then I can enjoy my summer vacation. Just 5 more days…

It is so freakin’ nice outside right now! It should be illegal to have to study/work on beautiful days like this *sigh*. Earlier today I was studying with Kate for this pathopharm quiz on Monday and we eventually just go fuck this lol. We went to the mall first to grub but then we went to Gellert Park and just enjoyed the weather and chilled with our ice cream haha. I got the Sonic ice cream bar and she got the Dora the Explorer one lol. OMG Kate’s story about finding out they don’t make WWF ice cream bars anymore was HILARIOUS (RIP WWF ice cream bars =[). It seriously does feel like summer already though! But I’ve still got 12 days to go until three months of absolute freedom. I am amazingly holding onto three low A’s right now and I basically have to get 90% on all my finals (duh) to hold onto them. Just gotta grind it out for another 12 days… just 12 more days…

At this point, anything that doesn’t have to do with nursing school. Right now there is literally TWO WEEK LEFT! If I just go all out right now then I’ll be able to fully enjoy my three month summer break. If I screw this up, I’m going to feel pretty bad about it…
So this week we’re learning about laxatives and one of them is a bulk forming laxative called Psyllium a.k.a. Metamucil. So to remember it, I just think of that one line from that Childish Gambino song Not Going Back, “suck a dick, we the shit, Metamucil” (lol) and that’s how I remember what Metamucil is, just remembering Childish Gambino! LOL Hey it works for me, that and creating stupid acronyms that only I remember. Like how for laxatives the major categories are “BEHSS”: bulk forming laxatives, emollients, hyperosmotic, saline, and stimulant. Gotta do what works best for you, I find this helps a lot.
Tired of this feeling sorry for myself shit. I need to just pick myself up, dust myself off, and focus on me. Can’t be worrying about shit I have no control over. Ready to rededicate myself to life and remind myself of all the good things still in my life.
