I know calling out Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s idiotic tweet about Jeremy Lin and breaking it down is about as easy as shooting fish in a barrel, but here’s something I found in literally 10 seconds. Jeremy Lin has been averaging over 25 points per game in his last 6 games, right? Granted, it’s only 6 games, but you know who else averages 25 points per game on a nightly basis? Kobe Bryant (29.3 ppg), LeBron James (28.2 ppg), Kevin Durant (27.0 ppg), and Kevin Love (25.3 ppg). Are you trying to tell me that Kobe, LeBron, Durant, and Love have never gotten as much love as Lin is getting right now? Really? LOL
Jason Richardson in NBA Dunk Contest 2004
I wish they had the infinite dunk attempts rule back then because J-Rich would’ve won hands down. There’s almost no pressure to actually make a dunk in the dunk contest anymore. I remember J-Rich’s last dunk attempt was a bounce lob 360 between the legs, that would’ve been the ILLEST DUNK EVER!
Sometimes when my alarm rings in the morning, I hear about breaking news like I’m in a movie haha. You know how in a movie the alarm goes off and then they hear about a news story that’s the main plot of the movie on the radio right at the beginning of the story? I wake up this morning and hear “the NBA players and owners have reached a tentative deal to play a 66 game season and are hammering out the last minute details.” Is this true? Has Christmas come early this year?
For fuck’s sake please work something out!

Even though Tim Hardaway was the enemy in Miami after Golden State, this is for my boy Chris Mullin. FLATBUSH !
Run TMC!
Automatic reblog for my boy Chris Mullin though, my bball idol when I just a youngster.
Congrats again Chris! Brooklyn’s FINEST!
Looking at this photo, Christian Laettner is the Luckiest S.O.B. on the planet.
^^^ BWAHAHAA. This squad would TRAMP 12 of the NBA’s best today.
This is seriously the best squad ever assembled. Every single player here made the Hall of Fame… except for Christian Laettner hahaha.
Some of these guys are pretty funny. I was watching the Bulls/Heat game yesterday with some people I just met and the comments are hilarious. One dude said he was going for the Heat because “he’s always been going for the Heat since 2006,” oh really? Hmm… wasn’t that the year they won the NBA championship? THAT’S SUSPECT! Another dude just seemed to be dick riding LeBron, putting every other player on the floor down and gagging on LeBron. “Give the ball up D-Wade, you ain’t like LeBron!” and my response to that was “yeah he isn’t, he’s already got a championship ring” and that shut him up really quick haha. I haven’t really been watching the Heat in the playoffs that closely so when I saw Udonis Haslem playing I asked one of ‘em, “hey when did Udonis Haslem come back? I thought he was injured?”, the first dude goes “oh during the San Antonio series” *FACEPALM*. During the Spurs series huh? Despite the fact that the Heat are in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and the Spurs are in the WESTERN CONFERENCE? And the constant “I TOLD YOU!” and acting like they know how to run an NBA offense is pretty comical as well.
I mean, I’m not full on rooting any team in the playoffs because I have no real rooting interest for any of the remaining teams. I’m cool with any of the final teams winning except for the Bulls, so I’m pulling for the Heat a little bit in that series of course, but people like the ones I met yesterday make me want to switch up and root for the Bulls haha. I mean people can root for whoever they want to root for, but don’t act like you know the game because the team you bandwagoned won the game, you’re just making yourself look silly.
1996 Draft - One of the best draft classes of all time.
If I can remember, My boy Kerry Kittles, Ray Allen, Antoine Walker, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Stephon Marbury, Marcus Camby?(Raptors), Jermaine O’Neal, Shareef Abdur-Rahim?(Grizzlies). Can’t identify the homies in the Knicks and Mavs jersey’s.
Only 5 players from this group r still active in the NBA. JOHN WALLACE!!!! Loved that guy, he was around during the beginning of the NYK-Heat rivarlry. And Somaki (spelling?) Walker i think was drafted by Dallas in ‘96 i think. He was later traded.
‘96 was a crazy good draft class, and who did the Warriors get? Future Hall of Famer Todd Fuller of course! SMH

The overall message is good, but I really hate this commercial. Thanks for simplifying my favorite sport into a series of tedious actions! I mean come on, “there’s running!”, “there’s jumping!”, “there’s even dancing!” I don’t know where you play basketball, but where I play, ain’t nobody dancing on the courts lol. Plus Michelle Obama sounds about as sincere as NBA players reading off queue cards for those “NBA Cares” commercials.
