“How do you prove we exist? Maybe we don’t exist…” - Vivi from FF IX. I’ve always loved this quote because it meditates on the idea of life itself. What is the worth of what we experience in life? I’ve always had a fascination about the greater meanings of life, if any, and why we’re here.
“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” - Albus Dumbledore. Probably my favorite Dumbledore quote. I think it’s great because so many people are just caught up in their own little fantasy land and don’t do anything about it. They just sit there and imagine what a great life would be or what would make them happy, but they never accomplish it or do something about it because they’re too busy dreaming. There’s nothing wrong with dreaming big, but you need to remember to live and take action. This is something that I constantly battle with on an almost daily basis. Just remembering to live…
“The core of man’s spirit comes from new experiences.” - Into the Wild. This quote comes from one of my favorite books and movies. I think it’s powerful because it says to open up your world/boundaries and look beyond what you’re comfortable with. How can you say that you’ve lived if you’re stuck doing the same thing over and over? You should experience all the wonders of life and everything that it has to offer. That will help keep life fresh and fulfilling, instead of sad and stagnant.
Don’t really have any =/
Real life crushes aren’t working out for me, maybe I should move on to Tumblr crushes instead lmfao.
Edit: Okay so @breezybecky just explained this question to me here and now I’m going to properly answer this question haha.

- @mmmsimpsons

- @lovequotesrus
Hey would you look at that? @breezybecky you’re actually among my Tumblr crushes! Haha
I don’t think I’m ever going to get a tattoo. I don’t really have anything against tattoos, I think they’re pretty cool, but I don’t think they’re for me. If I did get a tattoo though, I’d probably get the Deathly Hallows or the Dumbledore quote “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live” tatted somewhere. So obviously, I have given it some thought haha.
Oh mannnnnn. It was a really random dream but the details escape me right now. I feel like… it had something to do with a heist and time travel… that would make for an awesome movie actually lol. Kind of sad that I don’t remember that last one…
At this point, anything that doesn’t have to do with nursing school. Right now there is literally TWO WEEK LEFT! If I just go all out right now then I’ll be able to fully enjoy my three month summer break. If I screw this up, I’m going to feel pretty bad about it…
Now that the semester is almost over, I have a plethora of things I’m excited for!
- The end of my first real semester of nursing school!
- The Avengers in 2 days!!!! Not sure when I’ll be able to see it, but mannnnn!
- The summer movie season!
- Hell, actually being able to watch movies again!
- MOVIE MARATHONS
- Reading all the books that are piling up on my desk.
- Playing more basketball.
- Actually seeing my friends again LOL
- Sleeping in!
- Taking road trips
- EVERYTHINGGGGGG LOL!
1. I’m honored you would think of me first and you know I’m always here for you whenever you need me.
2. What would I freakin’ do without you man? I’d seriously go crazy haha.
3. I am so unbelievably glad that you came into my life this year.
4. I know that we haven’t seen each other much this year, but thanks for being my friend and understanding where I’m coming from. You know that I’ve always got your back.
5. You were my first friend at USF and I regardless of the whether or not we’re in the same block, I know that we’ll stay good friends. Thanks for all the pep talks and words of wisdom!
One of the really nice things I’ve done lately I won’t say because I won’t incriminate myself on my own blog lol. I’ll leave that one up to your imagination. There is a really nice thing that is about to happen for someone very soon. I know, this was a cryptic post, and for that I apologize lol.
My past. I feel like I made a lot mistakes in my past and not necessarily ones you’d ordinarily think of when it comes to just being young. I was just kind of nonexistent for so many years. I had my little bubble area of comfort and I refused to move out from it. I think this hindered a lot of my relationships with friends because I just wasn’t up for trying anything new. I don’t regret it because it’s made me the person I am today and I’ve learned so much from the mistakes I’ve made. I’m just determined to not let them happen again and not to get myself back into that mode of just isolating myself from others.
Yes, I certainly do! Mostly really hilarious or memorable ones from friends. Sometimes they’re also from really good days that I want to remember.
The last time I cried was like… a month ago when I started looking up really sad movie clips on YouTube. I’m not sure why I started doing that. Some of the clips I looked at were from Road to Perdition, Little Children, and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. If you’ve seen those movies, you probably know which moments the waterworks start flowing lol.
The last time I legitimately cried due to emotions not from a book, movie, etc.? It’s been a while to say the least… Maybe my grandpa’s funeral way back in ‘04. Yeah…
Let me check my Tumblr! I’m sure I was Tumblin’ the day away… this was a lot easier with Xanga lol. Okay… actually… 0_o that was a pretty funny day (or should I say early morning lol) and I don’t really care to elaborate much more than that haha.
Alright so my family… I have a mom, dad, brother, and grandma who all live under one roof. I get along great with all of them with the exception of my brother, I think we’re just okay lol. The only real close blood relatives of mine comes from my mom’s side, I’m really close to her brother’s family which includes my two favorite cousins in the wholeeeee world. I basically grew up with them and they’re basically like brothers to me.
As far as extended family, gotta give a shout out to the Quad: Jason, Chris, and Dano. We’ve been friends since high school and we’re still friends now. These guys are like brothers to me and I cherish every single one of ‘em. Love you guys!
Now I gotta mention my extended family at USF for the next 2.5 years and (hopefully) beyond. Erik, Marian, Natalie, Stephanie, Diana, Paige, Cynthia, Leonard (@leonardhuh), and Cristina (@xtinalacson). Shit’s about to get REAL in the next couple of years and I’m glad I have y’all by my side to help me get through it. I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through THIS semester without y’all haha, and that’s 100% fact.
The last gift I gave someone… I think when I gave @zapocram Jackie Brown on Blu-ray.
Once again, not really a great topic for writing so I’m going to write about gift giving! Generally speaking, I try to get a gift that will directly appeal to the recipient. I feel like that gives the gift so much more meaning than a typical gift that you could give to anyone. I like to make sure that the person I’m giving the gift to knows that I had them in mind when I picked the gift out, I didn’t just randomly pick any old thing from the store. When I gave DVD’s last Christmas to my nursing peoples, I wrote a little message to let each person know why I picked each particular movie for each individual. I can’t remember who said it but I remember someone said they liked that little touch and that warmed my heart a little haha.
- 1. Tokyo Police Club - Juno
- 2. Drake - Little Bit Feat. Lykke Li
- 3. The Postal Service - Brand New Colony
- 4. Death Cab for Cutie - Title & Registration
- 5. Oasis - Wonderwall
- 6. Miguel - Sure Thing
- 7. Brand New - The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot
- 8. Broken Social Scene - Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl
- 9. Donell Jones - Where I Wanna Be
- 10. Trey Songz - Missin’ You
Again, not really a topic that facilitates much writing so I guess I’ll just write a little bit about my music tastes over the years.
I used to be a straight hip hop and R&B guy. I didn’t really listen to much else, but around 2009 I started expanding my horizons a bit and started listening to other genres. My friend Jason got me into all sorts of bands and I have to say that I’m a lot happier for it haha. Also, the state of hip hop and R&B these days is a complete joke. There are still artists out there worth listening to, but you really have to dig deep to find them whereas I feel like a decade ago there were still good artists in the mainstream.
