Today was my first day of the “real” nursing program at USF and I’m apprehensive, but incredibly excited as well! I’m just so ready to soak up all this knowledge and learn so much more. If Tintin asked me, “how’s your thirst for knowledge?” I’d say “EXCELLENT!” haha. I’m so pumped to just hit the ground running because I’ve been waiting for this for so damn long already.

I think the biggest challenge I have to overcome (besides the course work itself haha) is my freakin’ sleep-wake cycle. Last semester I only had 2 classes and they were both in the afternoon. This semester? All morning classes and I’ve had Summer vacation, the Fall Semester, and Winter break to get acclimated to waking up from 10-11 AM. Now I have to wake up anywhere from 4 to 5 AM! I only got like 3 hours of sleep last night and I felt all right until I went home and crashed around 2 and took a 2 hour nap. I think I should practice waking up at 5 even on days I don’t have school, otherwise this semester is going to be hell.

So yeah… class today was cool. Our professor seems really cool and was entertaining for most of the class time. I was just so happy with the fact that I’m learning stuff that I’ll actually be able USE in life haha. It’s funny because the room that we’re in is the same room that I had Theology last semester. I’m not going to trash that class because I definitely learned a lot about other religions and their cultures, but the content and the way it was taught was so dry! It was a freakin’ chore to be in that class half of the time whereas now I can’t get enough haha.

First clinical is on Wednesday… EEP! Haha
