Movie Challenge Day 21 - Favorite action movie
It’s more sci-fi action, but I’ve got to go with Terminator 2: Judgment Day, which is still my favorite movie of ALL-TIME.

[insert witty title here]: Reasons why October is... →
curiouswing: c0rnfields: Cooler temperatures. Leaves change colors and look beautiful. Raking leaves into a pile and jumping in them. Hoodies and jeans. Bonfires. It’s windier. I love wind. Jack-O-lanterns. Halloween decorations. Halloween candy on sale. Cute kids in cute… My birthday is in October! That’s why it’s the best month!

Based on a comic? Watchmen. Based on a book? Into the Wild. Based on anything else? I guess The Social Network which is based on the creation of Facebook lol. Wait… well… TSN was based on a book too, but you get my drift, right?

Saw Killer Elite today!
notjanine: I really liked it. Sure it wasn’t the greatest movie I’ve ever seen, but I didn’t see it for quality filmmaking. I saw it because I wanted to watch Jason Statham and Clive Owen beat the shit out of each other and everyone else, and it definitely delivered on that! (Also a nice bonus, I went solo and ended up having the entire theater to myself, so that was quite lovely!) Yes!...

Parallel Parking
I LOVE parallel parking! I know a lot of people who dread having to do it but I consider it to be a challenge. Especially parallel parking in San Francisco where it’s already pretty hectic to drive at times. I see an open spot between two cars on the streets and the traffic coming quickly behind me and I think “okay motherfucker, let’s do this!” haha. I also drive a van so...

Movie Challenge Day 18 - A movie that you wish...
I’ve got a lot of these! If I had to pick something that flopped hard at the theaters, probably Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. If I had to pick something that was a smaller film that I think everyone should see… Into the Wild or The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

Moneyball Review
If you’ve been following my blog and actually paying attention (side note: lol), you might have noticed in my summer reading updates that I read the source material for this film, Moneyball by Michael Lewis. That book is an absolutely fascinating read and you do not need to know anything about baseball to enjoy it, although I do think you get more out of it if you are a baseball fan as well....

It sucks how you gain so much clarity after the fact. I suppose the hours and days that amass give us ample time to pick apart our previous actions and failures; quite simply, it’s easier to critique with hindsight. Despite this, I honestly can’t say that I regret any decisions I’ve made in my life because everything that has come before has made me into the person I am today....

Warrior Review
I came into Warrior basically expecting this year’s The Fighter. I heard rave reviews from multiple critics that I trusted. I even heard that Warrior “does for MMA what Rocky did for boxing,” so needless to say I had high expectations for this film. However, as wonderful as the performances are in Warrior, this movie hits every single sports movie cliche/beat on the button....

It begins!!!!!
SO DAMN LAZY RIGHT NOW! I literally haven’t done anything productive since I got home. I have a presentation to work on but because it seems so easy I keep putting it off. I’ll probably finish it tomorrow… I just have to talk about 3 topics for 3 minutes, so it shouldn’t be too hard, right?  I was talking to one of my USF nursing classmates today and we were talking about...
